And now for something completely different
This is a pencil drawing that I made one beautiful summers day in Delaware Park, Buffalo. I sat on the grass, looking up at a copy of Michaelangelo's David. I liked the angle of his face (and wanted a good excuse not to go back inside) so brought out the drawing supplies and had a wonderful afternoon in the sunshine!
This drawing is for sale, contact me for details. You can also get a print at http://kathysgallery.deviantart.com/ if you'd like.

A boat
The perfect summer day! We are fortunate to have several fresh water lakes here in central NY. This scene is at the point where the Erie Canal meets Oneida lake in the village of Sylvan Beach. I liked the color of the boat against the water and the trees, also liked the cats:) The boats owners were kind enough to pose and the whole painting came together!
16" x 20" Acrylic painting on canvas. This painting has been sold. Prints are available at http://kathysgallery.deviantart.com/gallery
